Match Preview

Both Karachi and Lahore will be determined to recover quickly from their disappointing losses at the start of the season. Karachi, in particular, has had a disastrous start to PSL 2022, having lost their first two matches. Karachi’s batting has been a major source of concern in the first two matches, as they have been unable to score heavily on flat tracks. They scored 124/5 in their first match and were bowled out for only 113 last night against Quetta.

Karachi will look to make a few changes to their lineup in order to solidify their batting unit and add some impetus to their underwhelming bowling so far. Mohammad Amir, an experienced left-arm pacer, is expected to make a comeback after recovering from a back injury.

Meanwhile, Lahore Qalandars suffered a heartbreaking defeat to Multan Sultans after failing to defend their mammoth total of 206. Despite having one of the most fearsome bowling lineups in the world, Lahore was unable to keep Multan’s batters at bay. Captain Shaheen Afridi will be hoping for a much improved performance from his bowling unit to add to Karachi Kings’ misery early in the tournament.
