Quetta Gladiators vs Peshawar Zalmi Highlights Batting Video, Fall Of Wickets

QUETTA GLADIATORS

The Quetta Gladiators were by far the worst team in the 2021 PSL, winning only two games in the whole competition, and the burden is on them to improve dramatically this season.

Shahid Afridi joined Quetta in a trade deal, and his expertise, along with that of bowler Sohail Tanvir and wicketkeeper Sarfaraz Ahmed, will be crucial, as will Ben Duckett’s runs, while Somerset hitter Will Smeed is likely to be given a chance to shine at the top of the order.

PESHAWAR ZALMI

Last year’s beaten finalists, Peshawar Zalmi, will have one clear objective in this year’s PSL: to win the championship for the second time in their existence, under the guidance of new head coach James Foster.

Both skipper Wahab Riaz and batter Haider Ali are anticipated to be ruled out of this match due to positive Covid-19 testing, while veteran Kamran Akmal has also tested positive alongside Arshad Iqbal.

THE PREDICTION

When both teams’ performances last year are considered, Peshawar Zalmi will surely be favorites in this encounter. They will, however, be without a lot of players owing to Covid-19, with Wahab, in particular, being a major loss given his wicket-taking abilities. It may take some time for new coach James Foster to put his ideas into action, but that shouldn’t be a problem because the Peshawar players will be familiar with him from his previous season as an assistant coach.

In the meantime, the Quetta Gladiators have a couple of players in terrific form in the T20 circuit, such as Ben Duckett and Mohammad Hasnain, who will be a great compliment to Quetta’s veteran core. With that in mind, it’s well worth contemplating the Quetta Gladiators to pull off a surprise victory here.
