WABetainfo reported Sunday that the Meta-owned popular messaging program WhatsApp has revealed a new bug fix through a recent update to address a problem with a strange media shortcut.
The “rapid media shortcut” feature, which allows WhatsApp users to edit media with a sketching tool, has been deactivated.
“A quick edit shortcut is already accessible when you open an image, video, or GIF, but WhatsApp recently included a new side shortcut when opening multiple media,” according to the WhatsApp news tracker.
Some people observed the function, which had an edit symbol but couldn’t figure out what it was for because it didn’t work.
With the current version update 2.21.24.9 from 2.21.24.8, WhatsApp is eliminating this shortcut.
