In the seventh edition of the Pakistan Super League, Fakhar Zaman has eclipsed Babar Azam by getting six 50-plus runs. Fakhar Zaman continued his remarkable form by smashing a half-century against Quetta Gladiators, breaking Babar Azam’s record for most fifty-plus innings in the Pakistan Super League.

In the seventh edition of the Pakistan Super League, Fakhar Zaman has been in outstanding form with the Lahore Qalandars. In the seven innings of PSL 7, the powerful opener has struck five half-centuries and a century. Fakhar Zaman broke Babar Azam’s record of five fifty-plus runs in a single edition of the Pakistan Super League with his fifth fifty against Quetta Gladiators. In PSL 3, Karachi Kings’ captain set a new record.

Fakhar Zaman now holds the record for most runs scored in PSL 7, with 469 at an average of 67. Fakhar Zaman, the tournament’s top scorer, is the current owner of Hanif Mohammad’s cap. After his half-century against Quetta Gladiators, the dashing batsman also passed Luke Ronchi of Islamabad United to become the top run-scorer in a single PSL season. Luke Ronchi scored 435 runs in 11 PSL 3 matches.
Furthermore, Fakhar Zaman has moved up to third place on the list of most PSL runs. Since his debut for Lahore Qalandars in 2017, he has scored 1,820 runs, second only to Babar Azam (2,323) and Kamran Akmal (1,896). Fakhar Zaman’s remarkable run in PSL 7 has helped Lahore Qalandars qualify for the playoffs for the first time.
