The Punjab government agreed at the end of the previous month to regularise more than 50,000 contractual and workforce workers.

In extending the upper age limit for government employment in the province, Punjab government has played a huge lead. The administration increases the age limit by 15 years.
The relief of the earlier era was ten years for the workers.
Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has further told the officials involved that contractual workers employed in the various ministries and departments in the province should be regularised.

A notice was released stating that all applicants applying for jobs in government departments in the province have accepted relaxation of up to 15 years of age within the high age cap.
