Fakhar Zaman’s outstanding performance in the first half of the PSL 7 has put him in the lead in terms of strike rate. Lahore Qalandars’ explosive opener has the highest strike rate in the powerplay in PSL history after taking over Sharjeel Khan.

Fakhar Zaman has played three innings in the Pakistan Super League’s seventh edition, smashing big smashes at will. The aggressive batsman hit 76 runs off 35 deliveries at a strike rate of 217 in the first match of PSL 7. Fakhar Zaman top-scored with 11 boundaries to help Qalandars amass 206 runs in the first innings, but the bowlers were unable to defend it against Multan Sultans.

Fakhar Zaman made history in the second match by scoring his first PSL century. The opener hammered 16 boundaries while chasing 170. Lahore Qalandars won their first match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) when Fakhar Zaman scored 106 runs off only 60 balls.
Fakhar struck another fifty in his third innings against Peshawar Zalmi. At a strike rate of 173.68, he scored 66 runs off 38 balls, including three sixes and six fours.

With his remarkable form in the first three matches of PSL 7, the explosive batter has eclipsed Karachi Kings’ Sharjeel Khan. In the PSL, Fakhar Zaman presently has the highest strike rate in powerplays.
