The owner of the Karachi Kings, Salman Iqbal, was not pleased with his team’s batting performance in the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) seventh edition’s first match.
The Karachi Kings took against the Multan Sultans at the National Stadium Karachi. The toss winner, Mohammad Rizwan, asked the Kings to bat first.
Kings batted poorly throughout their innings, scoring only 124 runs in their 20 overs, which Rizwan and his team easily chased down in the 19th over.
Babar Azam and his colleagues never seemed to be able to relax. Multan Sultan bowled exceptionally well, and he departed Karachi empty-handed.
The home team’s batting plan, on the other hand, was suspect, with only Sharjeel Khan ending with a decent strike rate.
“Our team’s score versus Multan Sultans may have been higher had we batted first.” We didn’t score much in the first 10 overs but scored 20 to 25 runs in the last five overs.” While speaking with the media, Salman Iqbal said.
Wasim Akram, the president of the Karachi Kings, is presented in isolation after testing positive for Covid-19, according to Salman.
Wasim Akram will return to the franchise in two days after completing his quarantine period.
