The Vivo Y76s was released less than two weeks ago, and now the Y74s have arrived, which is… essentially the same device. Not only does it have the same appearance, but it also has the same specifications.
The Dimensity 810, a 6 nm chipset with two Cortex-A76 cores, six A55 cores, and a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU, makes this a 5G phone. The chip is combined with 8 GB of RAM (LPDDR4X) and 256 GB of internal storage in this phone (UFS 2.2). There’s also a microSD card slot that can hold up to 1 TB of data.

The 6.58″ LCD has a refresh rate of 60 Hz but a touch sampling rate of 180 Hz. The remainder of the specs is quite standard: 1080p+ resolution (20:9), 1,500:1 contrast ratio, and no HDR. OriginOS 1.0 is installed on the phone (based on Android 11).
It has a 50-megapixel main camera on the rear, which would have been enough if not for the 2-megapixel macro camera. The front-facing selfie camera is a basic 8 MP shooter. Video recording is limited to 1080p on both the front and back cameras.

The phone is powered by a 4,100 mAh battery with 44W fast charging, which is quite usual for Vivo. Two SIM card slots, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, aptX (HD) and LDAC support (via Bluetooth 5.1), and a fingerprint scanner on the side are among the other features.
The Vivo Y74s is currently available in China for CNY 2,300 ($360/€320/26,800) and comes in two colorways: Galaxy Blue and Starry Night Black.
