The Pakistan Super League (PSL) has a doubleheader today, with the current PSL champions facing Quetta Gladiators in the first match and Lahore Qalandars against Karachi Kings in the second.

Karachi and Lahore are two of the country’s most populous cities, and they share a rivalry unlike any other. Kings vs Qalandars has drawn large crowds and big viewership in the PSL over the years.

In the seventh edition of the PSL, the return match between the two teams has already sold out, with the online ticket purchasing portal displaying a “sold out” message for the game.

Karachi Kings and Lahore Qalandars faced off in the first leg of the tournament at National Stadium Karachi, with the latter prevailing by six wickets.

After winning the toss, the Lahore Qalandars elected to bowl first. In 20 overs, the Kings scored 170/7. With four balls remaining, the Qalandars made 174/4, chasing down the mark. Fakhar Zaman, who scored 106 runs off just 60 balls, was named player of the match.

Since then, both teams have chosen distinct ways. Lahore Qalandars is in second place on the points table, having won five of their seven matches. It’s been a nightmare for the Karachi Kings, who have lost all eight of their matches in this year’s edition.
