On Wednesday, February 2, Peshawar Zalmi will meet Lahore Qalandars in the ninth encounter of the PSL 2022. The match will begin at 7:30 p.m. PST at Karachi’s National Stadium.

At the National Stadium Karachi, Peshawar Zalmi and Lahore Qalandars will square off in a high-octane match. Both teams will be adamant about getting a win and continuing their climb up the PSL 2022 points table. Peshawar and Lahore have each won one match in PSL 7 thus far, and a win for either team will put them in second place on the points table. Zalmi is now in fifth place, with Qalandars in fourth place, one position ahead of them.
Peshawar is set to make a few changes to their lineup, with Hazratullah Zazai, Arshad Iqbal, and Mohammad Umar expected to replace Yasir Khan, Sohail Khan, and Pat.

Lahore lost their first match in the competition to Multan Sultans before staging an incredible comeback against arch-rivals Karachi Kings in their second match. Qalandars’ Fakhar Zaman was named man of the match after smashing a magnificent century, his first in the PSL this season. Solid contributions from their world-class bowling team gave them a much-needed confidence boost, and Lahore now appears to be on its way to dominating the competition.
On the other hand, Zalmi have appeared to be a shadow of their former selves. They were outplayed by Islamabad United in their previous match, but the presence of their international superstars will provide them a much-needed boost as they aim to reach the PSL playoffs for the seventh time in a row.

In the first two games, Fakhar Zaman has been in outstanding form for the Lahore Qalandars. In the first match, Zaman produced a stunning half-century, and he followed it up with a magnificent century in their prior meeting. Zaman’s excellent form at the top of the order will be vital for Lahore as they attempt to score significantly once more. On most days, Lahore’s bowling will limit the opposition’s batting unit, but it will be Lahore’s batting that will help them win the majority of matches this time.
Usman Qadir has performed admirably for Zalmi thus far in the season, but the team’s management will be expecting much more. Qadir is an excellent player who can challenge the Lahore batting lineup and get them out cheaply. Googly, Qadir’s go-to delivery, will play a key role tonight.
