Jason Roy, England’s fiery opener, has joined Quetta Gladiators ahead of tonight’s high-octane encounter with Lahore Qalandars at the National Stadium in Karachi.
“On Sunday, Jason Roy had his first training session with the Quetta Gladiators. He will be ready for selection against the Lahore Qalandars on Monday, according to the franchise.
Quetta is presently in fifth place in the points table, having won just one of their four matches. They only managed to win once, against the Karachi Kings, who were in desperate need of a win.
It’ll be a must-win game for Quetta to stay in contention for the playoffs.
The addition of Jason Roy to the roster will bolster Quetta’s team and invigorate the entire locker room. The English batsman may get his team off to a fast start and lay the foundation for the middle-order batters to tee off in the last few overs.
