From February 16, the National Command and Operation C enter (NCOC) approved boosting the crowd attendance for Pakistan Super League
“Fifty percent completely vaccinated spectators will be allowed at the Gaddafi Stadium until February 15th, and 100 percent fully vaccinated fans will be allowed from February 16th,” according to the NCOC statement. During the Lahore leg, the forum also allowed unvaccinated youngsters under the age of 12 to enter the stadium.
Because the COVID-19 situation in the provincial capital was improving, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) suggested that the NCOC raise the audience turnout for the Lahore leg. The request was discussed at today’s meeting in Islamabad, which was chaired by Asad Umar, the Federal Minister for Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives.
It’s worth noting that the NCOC had originally planned for a full house for the whole competition. However, due to a significant surge in COVID-19 cases in Karachi, where the opening leg of the tournament is being held, the number was decreased to 25%.
The panel has altered its conclusion now that the positive rate has dropped dramatically.
On February 10, the unbeaten Multan Sultans will face Peshawar Zalmi in the Lahore leg of the competition.
