WhatsApp will introduce new indications to the Status and Calls sections to remind users that their messages are secure.

According to a WABetainfo claim, WhatsApp, the world’s most popular messaging program, is working on a new visual update that will be released soon.

According to the WhatsApp monitor, end-to-end encryption indicators would be included in future Android and iOS upgrades.

“Your chats and calls are end-to-end encrypted, so they always stay between you and the people and groups you choose: not even WhatsApp and their parent company, Meta, can read or listen to them,” according to the report, which also stated that the company plans to introduce two indicators in a future update to strengthen its security measures.

WhatsApp will add new markers to the Status and Calls sections (as shown in the images), claiming that your status updates, personal and group calls will always be end-to-end encrypted.

It also plans to include the same message in the Chats section, and a future version for WhatsApp for Android will include support for the same functionality.

Wabetainfo went on to say that this new visual feature isn’t visible right now because it’s still being worked on, but that it would be available in a future update.
