The official Twitter account of HBL, the principal sponsor of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), has released a mysterious tweet on the ongoing seventh edition of the PSL.
“Sorry folks, HBLPSL will not be the same this year,” the account tweeted.
PSL supporters are wondering what the future holds for Pakistan’s premier T20 event after seeing the cryptic post. To make matters worse, Ramiz Raja, the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), has responded to HBL’s tweet, implying that something is coming to an end. The cryptic comments from both parties have piqued the interest of PSL supporters, who are concerned about the tournament’s future.
“All wonderful things must come to an end,” Ramiz tweeted. Sigh…. I’m off to do other things, but I’m still looking forward to the HBL PSL.” PSL fans should not be concerned, as the cryptic tweets do not imply that the current season would be postponed or canceled. Instead, this might be a game-changer for the PSL brand as a whole. The tweets have created a buzz and attracted the attention of Pakistan cricket fans, indicating that there would be some interesting news for the competition.
Ramiz Raja promised to include some exciting events for supporters outside the stadium prior to the start of the tournament. He previously stated that he will hold a variety of competitions, including one to find a new commentator in a PCB-set-up fan box outside the stadium. These tweets could very well be about something similar.
